Four Crummer Alumni Named to Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 List

Honored alumni include real estate, marketing, and city leaders in Central Florida.

Four Crummer alumni have been honored as Central Florida’s top young leaders, innovators, and dealmakers in the Orlando Business Journal’s 2022 40 Under 40 announcement.

Beau Blackerby ’10MBA, President & CEO, RRB Partners; Kevin Brancheau, P.E. ’17MBA, Assistant Project Manager, Brightline; Lisa Curran (Kolbjornsen) ’15MBA, Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, Orlando Utilities Commission; and Carmen Rasnick, MBA, CNU-A ’13HH ’16MBA, Fiscal Manager, City of Orlando were named to the list.

The Orlando Business Journal selects Central Florida leaders that go above and beyond not only in the workforce, but also in the Central Florida community. They are entrepreneurs and corporate superstars, job creators and innovators who are playing a key role in shaping the future of Central Florida.

This year’s Crummer honorees have stepped up in uncertain times, after a year of pandemic-related closures and openings. They continue to show resilience and a commitment to making an impact in their communities.

“Having four Crummer alumni named to the Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 is a true testament to the Crummer program and its transformative ability to build our students into community leaders,” said Dr. Deborah Crown, Dean of the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. “I am so proud of these four budding leaders and excited to see how they continue to innovate and impact their communities.”

Beau Blackerby ‘10MBA, President and CEO, RRB Partners

After receiving his MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in 2010, Beau Blackerby had his sights set on breaking into the commercial real estate business.

Just over 10 years later, he’s the President and CEO of RRB Partners, a commercial real estate firm in Central Florida. They most recently closed on a $2.8 million deal in Saint Cloud to start developing ten acres of commercial property.

Two years after graduating from Crummer, Blackerby decided to start his own firm. With the confidence he gained from the Crummer MBA program and the tutelage of his father, who spent his entire career in commercial real estate, Blackerby launched RRB Partners. They landed their first big deal to develop 200,000 square feet in Panama City and have since used that as a launchpad and foothold of credibility in the commercial real estate market.

Blackerby says what sets RRB Partners apart from other larger commercial real estate firms is their commitment to developing personal relationships with clients. Identifying as a boutique firm, Blackerby is fully focused on the client and their needs.
